It has been 10 years since Alarmy met all of you, dear Alarmy users! Throughout this time, there have been many memorable moments, including the happiest, most astonishing ones, as well as the sad and regretful ones.
I would like to share the top 10 most memorable moments with all of you. If you have been with Alarmy for a long time, you might say, "Ah, I remember that!" If you are a recent Alarmy user, you might find it fascinating to hear about these stories.
So, let's take a look at what happened together! π
In August 2012, Alarmy was first launched as "Sleep If U Can π." At that time, it only had a photo mission and was available only on Android OS. It became famous as the "devil's alarm app" and soon changed its name to the familiar Alarmy β°!
In 2015, when Alarmy was two years old, a malicious copycat app was released, copying Alarmy and selling it as a paid app. The app didn't have any functionality, and to make matters worse, it was connected to Alarmy's customer support channel. It took several months to handle the backlash from numerous people who fell victim to the scam app. It was a challenging time, and I still remember it vividly π.
In April 2017, when Alarmy turned four, we worked hard to provide various missions that could wake you up for sure. We released the Barcode mission and Memory Game mission. Especially, the Memory Game received a lot of love from users who wanted to wake up by engaging their minds rather than immediately jumping out of bed. π
In June 2019, Alarmy expanded its vision from "assured awakening" to "creating successful mornings!" If the journey so far had been about transforming the definition of an alarm from a simple time-telling tool to one that assures a wake-up, this was the starting point for going one step further with Alarmy to help you have a successful morning. π
